ראש חטיבת קיימות וממשל, חוקרת, מרצה 

והמנהלת האקדמית של תוכנית צוערים לשלטון מקומי, במכללה האקדמית תל חי. 
גל סיימה פוסט דוקטורט באוניברסיטת קולומביה בניו יורק,

היא בוגרת תוכנית ממשק להכשרת מדענים כיועצים לבכירים בממשלה,

בה כיהנה כיועצת מדעית למר מרדכי כהן, מנכ"ל משרד הפנים לשעבר.

במסגרת תפקידה כתבה מחקר המנתח את הפערים הכלכליים בין הרשויות

המקומיות בישראל, בשיתוף עם מנהל האגף לפיתוח כלכלי במשרד הפנים.

גל הובילה צוות אינטרדסיפלינארי לפיתוח כלכלי מוניציפלי מקיים, שכלל משרדי ממשלה שונים, אנשי אקדמיה וגופים פרטיים ותוצריו הוצגו בכנס האו"ם. כמו כן היתה שותפה בהובלת סדנה של ה OECD לפיתוח כלכלי ברשויות בפריפריה.

Dr. Gal H. Carasso Romano
 

Dr. Carasso Romano is an accomplished professional with expertise in sustainability, and local government. As the Head of the Sustainability and Governance Division at Tel Hai Academic College, she leads research and teaches in these areas. She is also the academic director of the college's cadet program for local government, which provides training and development opportunities for future leaders in the field.

Gal has a post-doctoral degree from Columbia University in New York, and participate in MIMSHAK program for training scientists as advisors to senior government officials. In this role, she served as a scientific advisor to Mr. Mordechai Cohen, the former CEO of the Ministry of the Interior. Her dedication to improving the economic well-being of local communities is exemplified by her study analysing the economic disparities between local authorities in Israel, which was done in collaboration with the director of the Economic Development Division at the Ministry of the Interior. She also led an interdisciplinary team for sustainable municipal economic development, that included various government ministries, academics, and private entities, and its results were presented at the UN conference. Furthermore, she was a partner in leading an OECD workshop for economic development in peripheral municipalities.
